Family Life

We had a pretty calm and relaxing weekend. Saturday morning, we decided to take S to our local park and realized there's a local arts and craft fair. We spent some time in the park and went to the fair. There were lots of booths with jewelry, indoor & outdoor country style decorations, hand made greeting cards and knitted product such as scarf & baby blankets. There were also animals for kids to pet and ponies to ride. S had fun riding pony. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring the camera to capture her excitement. She's not into petting or feeding sheeps. I was tempted by the smell of food that was there at the fair. BBQ Chicken, BBQ corn, hot dogs, & kettle corn. I gave in and bought kettle corn but we went home for lunch. Kettle corn was delicious. The microwaveable version just doesn't cut it.
Sunday morning, we went for a 45 minutes walk around our neighborhood. In the middle of our route is a park so we stopped and let her have her exercise. She's really good at swinging. Big difference in motor skill of a 3 vs 4 year old. She can swing really high and no afraid. Confident enough that mom no longer needs to push her or get her off the swing. There was another boy on the playground but they did not play together. When we got home, I was channel surfing and found my self watching an International pizza competition. The pizza were so mouth watering. Needless to say, we had pizza for lunch. Since hubby and I could not agree on the toppings, I ordered the 4 small square pizzas from Pizza hut. It was not as tasty as the regular deep dish pizza. The dough was not thin or thick crust so that was disappointing.
After lunch Hubby carved one of the pumpkin for practice. It came out very good. He placed it in an ice chest to preserve it. Hopefully it'll keep 'til Sunday. He plans carve more on Saturday. :)
