S’s favorite book at the moment is Strega Nona by Tomie DePaula. We’ve been reading it almost every night. When I first read the story to her, I used my version of an Italian accent for Strega Nona’s voice to make the story interesting. Ever since then, if I used my normal voice on Strega Nona, she’ll say “That is not how Strega Nona speaks” and asked me to read it again using the “right” voice. She cracks me up when she pretend to be Strega Nona.
