Meditate with no expectation

A co-worker, Mica who meditate regularly knew I'm attempting to practice meditation.
Mica: "How's your meditation going?"
Me:"I'm doing it every morning but don't really feel any different"
Mica: "Try not to expect anything from it. Eventually you'll see the benefit from meditation after a while. It's not like exercise where you will fell the adrenalin rush"
Me: "Oh. I expect to reach enlightenment like Buddha had. Have you experience enlightenment?"
Mica: "Enlightenment is a state that can't be easily achieved. It takes hours and hours of practice and dedication."
Me: "Ok. I'll just do it and see what happens when it happens"
